Disabled Support System
After the health reports and support requests submitted by the students are reviewed and approved by the Disability Support Unit, the necessary definitions are made on the system by associating them with the courses the students are registered for in the relevant academic year and term. Within the scope of these definitions, the students' disability status, the arrangements they may need in exams or their requests for course materials are processed in the system.
After the approval process is completed, the Disability Support Unit Coordinator can provide collective information to the relevant academic staff, so that academic staff can gain awareness of the needs of students with special needs registered in their courses. Academicians can access this information through the class lists of the courses they are responsible for and, when necessary, they can directly communicate with students by sending individual messages.
This systematic process both supports students' access to equal opportunities in education and contributes to academic units developing a more inclusive and conscious approach towards students with special needs. Our university aims to strengthen the principles of accessibility and inclusiveness in higher education with these applications.
