Our Mission and Vision
Our Mission
To develop digital applications and systems that serve our university's education, research and social contribution goals with user-friendly, creative and effective solutions. To support the principles of academic freedom, fairness and transparency by offering software solutions that reveal the potential of individuals, are suitable for data analytics, accessible and adhere to ethical principles.
Our Vision
To make our university one of the national and international leaders of digital innovation with artificial intelligence-supported, data-driven and human-centered software systems that transform education and research.
CORE VALUES OF OUR DIRECTORATE
- Academic Freedom: Our software systems are designed to enable university components to create content without any limitations in the production and sharing of ideas, to provide transparent access to data sources and to support their freedom of research. Applications that aim to increase free access to information and users' control over digital tools make it possible to transfer academic freedom to the digital environment.
- Equity: It is one of the fundamental principles of the systems that all user groups — academic staff, administrative staff and students — can access digital services under equal conditions. Solutions developed by considering access levels, user needs and technological possibilities aim to provide a digital infrastructure that respects equal opportunities, eliminates obstacles and is inclusive.
- Reliability: All our software and system solutions are structured within the framework of high accessibility, data integrity and cybersecurity principles. One of the main goals is to ensure the confidentiality of user data and system continuity, and to ensure the sustainability of trust in digital services. In this context, backup systems, multi-layered security measures and regular system audits are implemented.
- Accountability and Transparency: All software development, system update and maintenance processes are carried out in an open, documented and traceable manner. Infrastructure changes, version controls and user support records are archived centrally and shared transparently with the relevant units when necessary. Thus, the environment of trust and cooperation is strengthened in digital transformation processes.
- Creativity and Innovation: The Software and Automation Directorate develops artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation and data analytics-based applications that will support digitalization processes throughout the university; reflects the research and development culture to digital solutions. Projects that transform from idea to product are integrated with innovative solutions that anticipate not only today's but also future needs.
- Health, Well-Being and Solidarity: Our priorities include ensuring that the developed digital systems are user-friendly, simple and stress-reducing. Interface designs are updated by taking user feedback into account; access to the systems is facilitated for all users. In addition, by encouraging team solidarity, open communication and an empathy-based work culture, institutional welfare is increased and the quality of service delivery is strengthened.
